General Terms and Conditions – SALSALiege.com

This page is a translation of the French version of our general terms and conditions; in the event of any difference between the two, the French version prevails, except where mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence give you greater protection.

Last updated: October 28, 2026

The “In plain language” boxes summarize each section in everyday language. They are there to help you understand: it is the legal text that follows them that prevails.

The essentials at a glance

In plain language — This page tells you what you are buying, at what price, and what you can cancel. Each article below goes into one specific point.

  • All our prices are inclusive of all taxes. No hidden charges.
  • A right of withdrawal of 14 calendar days, subject to the statutory exceptions applicable to digital services already performed (Article 9).
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from My account, without charge or justification, taking effect at the end of the current period.
  • Your online payments are secured by Stripe: your bank details never pass through our servers.
  • You can report any illegal content to info@salsaliege.com with the subject line “DSA notice” (Article 21).

Until the new price takes effect, the Customer may cancel their subscription without charge or penalty.

Article 4 — Ordering and payment

In plain language — You pay online by card or Bancontact, or in person at the studio. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never passes through our servers.

4.1. Ordering process
The Customer places an order online in the shop on the website https://salsaliege.com or directly at Studio24.

Every online order entails acceptance of these GTC.

4.2. Payment methods

Online:

  • Payment card (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Bancontact

At Studio24:

  • Cash
  • Payment card
  • Bancontact
  • QR code payment

4.3. Payment security
Online payments are secured by our provider Stripe, certified to PCI-DSS Level 1, the highest level of certification in the payments industry. Your payment card data goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on our servers. Stripe’s processing of your data is described in its privacy policy.

At Studio24, card payments go through a Worldline terminal, which is also PCI-DSS certified.

4.4. Order confirmation
Once payment has been validated, the Customer receives an order confirmation by email at the address provided on registration.

Article 5 — Studio Live

In plain language — Your video subscription renews automatically, and you can stop it whenever you like from My account. It is personal: it can only be open on a limited number of devices at once. Watching together at home on the same screen is fine — lending your account to someone outside your household is not.

5.1. Access to the service
The Studio Live subscription gives access to all video content available on the platform, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on any compatible device, within the availability limits set out in Article 20.

5.2. Free trial and switching to an annual subscription
Eligible new members may benefit from a 7-day free trial. SALSALiege.com reserves the right to determine eligibility for the free trial and to limit its duration to prevent abuse.

At the end of the free trial, the paid subscription starts automatically if a payment method is saved, unless canceled before the end of the trial. Without a saved payment method, access to the service stops at the end of the trial, with no charge or commitment.

During the free trial, the member may switch from the monthly subscription to the annual subscription. The annual subscription is paid immediately, starts that day and ends the free trial.

A member with a monthly subscription may switch to the annual subscription at any time. The unused part of the current month is deducted from the price of the year, which starts on the day of payment.

During their first three months, a member with a monthly subscription who switches to the annual subscription has all months already paid deducted from the price of the year. Their year then ends twelve months after their first payment.

5.3. Renewal and billing
The monthly subscription renews automatically each month, and the annual subscription each year. The Customer is charged automatically using the saved payment method.

For the annual subscription, a reminder of the upcoming renewal is sent by email at least 15 days before the renewal date, with a means of preventing it.

If a payment fails, SALSALiege.com retries the payment in the following days. If no attempt succeeds, access to the service is suspended until payment is brought up to date.

5.4. Cancellation
The Customer may cancel their Studio Live subscription at any time from the My account page on the website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the Customer retains access to the service until that date.

5.5. Personal use
The Studio Live service is reserved for strictly personal, non-commercial use. The subscription is individual and held in the subscriber’s name. Shared viewing within the same household is tolerated, for example watching a lesson together on the same screen. However, lending, sharing or disclosing login details to anyone outside the household remains prohibited. Access is personal: it may be open on a limited number of devices at once; beyond that limit, a new login closes the oldest session. Login information may be analyzed to detect use by more than one individual, under the conditions described in Article 8 of our Privacy Policy.

5.6. Practice partner
The “Practice partner” feature (connecting members to practice at Studio24) is reserved for adult members (18 or older). The age used is that derived from the date of birth declared by the member in their profile; access may be withdrawn in the event of a false declaration.

Article 6 — Group classes

In plain language — Your subscription to in-person classes lasts for a fixed period and does not renew automatically. A medical certificate allows you to suspend it, and you must follow the studio rules.

6.1. Access to classes
The Group classes subscription gives access to all group classes on the timetable, subject to available places.

6.2. Digital card
A digital subscription card is issued to the Customer after their subscription is activated. It is their responsibility to present their card to access classes.

6.3. Duration
Group classes subscriptions have a fixed duration and do not renew automatically:

  • Monthly subscription: one month
  • 6-month subscription: fixed term of 6 months
  • Annual subscription: fixed term of 12 months

When the subscription expires, the Customer must make a new purchase to continue accessing classes.

6.4. Single classes and trial classes
Single classes are available all year round at 10 € per hour per person, in person and without booking, as often as desired. If you sign up for a subscription, one trial session (up to 2 or 3 hours attended on the same evening) is refunded; this refund does not apply to trial classes spread over several days. Free trial classes may also be offered at the start of terms (September, January, April).

6.5. Studio rules
By entering Studio24, the Customer undertakes to comply with the following studio rules:

  • Arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the start of the class to have your attendance confirmed.
  • Follow the teachers’ instructions.
  • Respect the other participants. Any verbal or physical violence leads to permanent exclusion.
  • Sexual harassment or any inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited and will be the subject of a complaint.
  • Wear suitable, clean clothing (no flip-flops or sandals). Jewelry, watches and accessories that could cause injury are not allowed.
  • Using a mobile phone during classes is prohibited.
  • Smoking and consuming or distributing narcotics are prohibited.
  • Only drinks in closed containers are allowed. Food is prohibited.
  • Selling or promotional activities are prohibited without prior authorization.
  • Teachers reserve the right to refuse access to a class if the participant’s level is considered insufficient.
  • Animals are not admitted, except guide dogs.

6.6. Changes to the timetable
SALSALiege.com reserves the right to change the timetable and to close Studio24 during public holidays and school holidays, or for building work and in cases of force majeure. These changes do not entitle the Customer to a refund, unless their usual time slot is permanently removed.

6.7. Suspension on medical grounds
The Customer may request suspension of their subscription on medical grounds by sending a valid medical certificate to info@salsaliege.com. Suspension takes effect on receipt of the certificate and is not retroactive.

In the event of medical incapacity lasting more than 6 months, the Customer may request cancellation of their subscription on presentation of a medical certificate.

Article 7 — Private lessons

In plain language — A private lesson lasts one hour, for one or two people. Give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule it, once only; otherwise it is forfeited.

7.1. Booking
Private lessons can be booked by telephone on +32 484 602 084, via WhatsApp or through the online shop.

7.2. Arrangements
Each private lesson lasts one hour and can accommodate up to two participants at once. Lessons take place at Studio24 or by video call (Zoom or WhatsApp, tools used by mutual agreement; see Article 4 of our Privacy Policy).

7.3. Cancellation and rescheduling
The Customer may reschedule a private lesson free of charge provided they give at least 24 hours’ notice.

The same lesson may only be rescheduled once. In the event of a second rescheduling or absence without notice, the lesson is deemed used and is non-refundable.

7.4. Validity of packages

  • Découverte package (1 lesson): valid for 3 months from purchase.
  • Intensif package (5 lessons): valid for 6 months from purchase.
  • Premium package (10 lessons): valid for 12 months from purchase.

Lessons unused when the package expires are forfeited and non-refundable.

Article 8 — Gift vouchers

In plain language — A gift voucher is valid for 12 months from purchase. It cannot be refunded or exchanged for money.

8.1. Validity
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is stated on the voucher.

8.2. Use
The gift voucher can be used for private lessons, a Studio Live subscription or group classes, depending on the type of voucher purchased. It is issued in the recipient’s name and is non-transferable once personalized.

8.3. No refunds
Gift vouchers are neither refundable nor exchangeable for money. They cannot be used to purchase other gift vouchers.

8.4. Loss or theft
If a gift voucher is lost or stolen, the Customer must contact us immediately at info@salsaliege.com. A duplicate may be issued after verification.

Article 9 — Right of withdrawal

In plain language — If you buy online, you have 14 days to change your mind. For Studio Live, the period already used is not refunded. A personalized gift voucher can no longer be canceled. If you buy in person at Studio24, there is no 14-day period.

A Customer who is a consumer has 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without giving any reason or paying any penalties. This rule complies with Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 25, 2011 on consumer rights (Articles 9 to 16), Directive (EU) 2019/770 of May 20, 2019 on certain aspects concerning contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services (DCMD), and Articles VI.47 et seq. of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.

9.1. Exercising the right of withdrawal
To exercise this right, the Customer must notify their decision by email to info@salsaliege.com, clearly stating their wish to withdraw. You may use the model form below, but you are not obliged to do so:

Model withdrawal form
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract)
— To Xavier Colina Valdor, SALSALiege.com, Rue Léon Troclet 24, 4000 Liège, Belgium, info@salsaliege.com:
— I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the provision of the following service:
— Ordered on:
— Name of consumer(s):
— Address of consumer(s):
— Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper):
— Date:
(*) Delete as appropriate.

9.2. Statutory exceptions
In accordance with Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU and Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the right of withdrawal does not apply in the following cases:

  • To services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period, if performance began with the Customer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement of the loss of their right of withdrawal (Article 16(a) of Directive 2011/83/EU).
  • To digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance began with the Customer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement of the loss of their right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

9.3. Practical application at Studio24

  • Studio Live (video streaming subscription): when ordering, the Customer expressly requests that performance of the service begin immediately. They acknowledge losing their right of withdrawal for the portion of the service already performed as soon as they access the content. In the event of withdrawal within 14 days, the Customer is refunded pro rata for the portion of the service not performed. We confirm this request and acknowledgement to you on a durable medium, in the order confirmation email.
  • Group classes (ALL-in subscription and packs) and private lessons: a class or subscription purchased at Studio24 does not carry a right of withdrawal (this right applies only to a distance purchase). If purchased online, it can be canceled within 14 days of purchase. Before activation at reception, you receive a full refund. Afterwards, if you requested when ordering that classes begin during this period, what has already been supplied (classes attended, or the elapsed subscription period with access to Studio Live) remains payable pro rata to the price, and the rest is refunded to you.
  • Gift vouchers: a personalized gift voucher is prepared according to your instructions as soon as you order. By ordering it, you ask us to begin this preparation immediately and acknowledge that it can no longer be canceled. A non-personalized gift voucher can be canceled within 14 days of purchase, provided it has not been used; you then receive a full refund.

9.4. Refund
In the event of a valid withdrawal, SALSALiege.com refunds the Customer within 14 days of receipt of the request, using the same means of payment as for the initial transaction (Article 13 of Directive 2011/83/EU).

Article 10 — Liability

In plain language — Our classes do not replace medical advice: ask your doctor before you start. If you are injured through our fault, our liability remains in full.

10.1. Physical activity
The information provided by SALSALiege.com (website, videos, classes) is educational and does not constitute medical advice. The Customer is encouraged to consult a healthcare professional before starting any physical activity.

Without prejudice to Article 10.3 below, SALSALiege.com disclaims all liability for injury sustained while practicing the exercises offered where it results solely from the Customer’s own actions or circumstances (unsuitable physical condition, failure to follow instructions or medical advice).

10.2. Limitation of liability
SALSALiege.com cannot be held liable for:

  • Indirect damage resulting from use of the service.
  • Temporary interruptions to the Studio Live service for maintenance or in cases of force majeure.
  • The quality of the Customer’s Internet connection.

10.3. Liability for personal injury
SALSALiege.com is liable for death or personal injury resulting from an act or negligence on its part or that of its employees or agents, in accordance with Belgian civil liability law.

10.4. Third-party services
Studio24’s services rely on third-party providers (WordPress.com/Automattic hosting, Stripe payments, MailerLite emails, Vimeo video, Mistral AI, Sentry/Slack technical monitoring). If one of these services is unavailable, SALSALiege.com cannot be held liable for the direct consequences (inability to watch a video, delayed email, absence of AI personalization) beyond its essential contractual obligations.

Our availability commitments, and the credit the Customer may request in the event of a prolonged interruption, are set out in Article 20.

Article 11 — Intellectual property

In plain language — The videos belong to us: do not download them, share them or show them in public. Otherwise your subscription will be terminated.

Studio24’s services on the SALSALiege.com website, including all content (videos, texts, images, logos, trademarks), are protected by Belgian and international intellectual property laws.

The Customer undertakes not to:

  • Reproduce, copy, download or distribute Studio Live content.
  • Circumvent technical protection measures.
  • Use the content for commercial or public purposes.

Any breach of these provisions will lead to immediate termination of the subscription and may give rise to legal proceedings.

Article 12 — Protection of personal data

In plain language — We collect your name, email and billing information to sell you the service. Creating an account does not sign you up to any newsletter.

SALSALiege.com collects and processes your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Belgian Act of July 30, 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (LCPDF) and, where applicable, the laws applicable in your country (LIL France, nFADP Switzerland, Law 25 Québec).

12.1. Data collected
As part of the commercial relationship, we collect: last name, first name, email address, telephone number, billing address and payment information.

12.2. Third-party providers
Your data may be passed to our providers for payments (Stripe), the monthly newsletter (MailerLite), platform hosting and sending all our other emails (Automattic/WordPress.com), artificial intelligence (Mistral AI) and technical error detection (Sentry). These providers comply with the GDPR. The detailed list and data processing agreements are set out in Article 4 of our Privacy Policy.

12.3. Newsletter and marketing communications
By signing up to our newsletter, you consent to receiving our communications by email (via MailerLite). Creating an account does not sign you up to this newsletter. The other automated messages are presented in Article 16, with the legal basis for each family and how to stop it. You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click and with immediate effect, using the link at the bottom of each relevant email; a single unsubscribe is enough (Article 16.4).

For details of our data protection practices (categories of data, retention periods, rights under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR), see our Privacy Policy.

Article 13 — Changes to the GTC

In plain language — If these terms change, we give you 30 days’ notice by email. You can then stop your subscription without charge.

SALSALiege.com may change these GTC at any time. We notify you of changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continuing to use our services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new GTC. If you do not accept them, you may cancel your subscription without charge before their effective date.

Article 14 — Applicable law and disputes

In plain language — Belgian law applies, and the courts of Liège have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country protects you differently. Before that, we always seek an amicable solution.

These GTC are governed by Belgian law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution. You may send your complaint by email to info@salsaliege.com.

The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform ceased operating on July 20, 2025. In the event of a consumer dispute that remains unresolved amicably, you may refer the matter free of charge to the Consumer Mediation Service (Belgian federal public service): Boulevard du Roi Albert II 8 boîte 1, 1000 Bruxelles — contact@mediationconsommateur.be — mediationconsommateur.be.

In accordance with Article XVI.4 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, we inform you that SALSALiege.com has not undertaken to use a conventional sectoral out-of-court dispute resolution body. The consumer nevertheless retains their statutory right of access to the Consumer Mediation Service mentioned above.

Failing an amicable solution, the courts of Liège shall have exclusive jurisdiction (unless a mandatory provision protecting the consumer in their country of residence provides otherwise).

Article 15 — Contact

In plain language — A question about these terms? Write to info@salsaliege.com or call +32 484 602 084.

For any question about these GTC:

Article 16 — Automated emails and notifications

In plain language — Here are the families of automated messages the site may send you. One click at the bottom of a message you can opt out of stops its category, and unsubscribing from the newsletter also stops the recap and the offers. Invoices, security alerts and messages about your subscription continue: they are part of the contract.

This article sets out the full list of families of automated messages we send you, with the legal basis for each and how to stop it. Any new family of messages is added here before it is first sent.

16.1 Messages linked to the contract — always sent

These messages are not direct marketing: they serve to perform the contract, comply with a legal obligation or protect your account. They have no unsubscribe link and you receive them for as long as your account exists.

  • Login and account — login link, change of password or email address, export or erasure of your data (Articles 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Account security — shared account use detected, sessions closed, unusual login alert (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Order, subscription and membership — order confirmation, invoice, trial, pending payment, reminder before expiry or renewal (at least 15 days beforehand for an annual subscription), renewal, expiry (Article 6(1)(b); for invoices, also Article 6(1)(c)).
  • Your credit — the message announcing a credit you have just earned (loyalty, referral, and birthday while you are a subscriber), and the reminder of a discount voucher already earned that has not been used or is approaching expiry. This is not a promotion: you have already earned this voucher (Article 6(1)(b)).

16.2 Automated messages to which the Customer may object

These messages are grouped into four families. Depending on the family, they are sent by default, with a one-click option to object, or only if you have turned them on yourself.

Family What you may receive Legal basis How to stop it
Welcome messages Messages to introduce you to the service you have signed up for, some linked to your progress, and a reminder if you have not returned for a while. Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Sent by default. The “Unsubscribe” link in the message, or the Welcome emails category in My account → Settings → Notifications.
Studio offers and weekend recap Each week, a recap of Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Merengue parties near you, chosen according to your activity; and, depending on your progress or attendance at the studio, an invitation to a private lesson at the normal price (without a discount or voucher); and, if you were a subscriber and no longer are, on your birthday, the message announcing the 10 € added to your voucher, to be used on a plan. Legitimate interest in relation to an existing customer: offering them a Latin dance service similar to the one they already use with us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, combined with the “existing customer, similar service” exception provided for by the Royal Decree of April 4, 2003, adopted pursuant to Article XII.13 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, which transposes Article 13(2) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC). If you have never been a customer, these messages are sent to you only if you have consented to them (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Sent by default to existing customers. The “Unsubscribe” link or the link to object in each message, or My account → Settings → Notifications; the option to object is offered to you from the time your order is confirmed.
Progress tracking and referrals A monthly recap of your progress; messages about the El Ritmo de la Noche rhythm game (game report, reminder to play, secret badge discovered); referral messages (invitation to refer a friend, reminder to the referrer, referral congratulations). Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Box unchecked by default: nothing is sent until you have turned it on. The My progress category in My account → Settings → Notifications.
Suggestions and reminders Suggestions (coaching, an easy video to get started again), a reminder of a paused challenge, a quarterly review, and promotional offers (for example a discount on a renewal). Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Box unchecked by default: nothing is sent until you have turned it on. The Marketing & recap category in My account → Settings → Notifications.

Messages spaced out. These messages share a common limit: at most one message every 3 days, and at most three per 14 days. The only exception is the rhythm game report, which would lose its meaning if delayed; it is sent at most once every 48 hours. A message that cannot fit is postponed or dropped, never accumulated. Some are even less frequent: the reminder when you have not returned, at most once per 30-day period; the quarterly review, at most once per quarter and only if you have not seen its invitation in the app; the invitation to a private lesson, at most once a year.

16.3 Monthly newsletter

The monthly newsletter (event announcements, Studio Live news, promotions) is the only mailing entrusted to our email provider MailerLite. It is based exclusively on a voluntary sign-up (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). All other messages are sent from our own servers.

16.4 A single unsubscribe

Unsubscribing from the newsletter also turns off the weekend recap and the studio’s offers; conversely, objecting to these messages from the app removes you from the newsletter. You therefore never need to unsubscribe twice.

Unsubscribe at any time via:

  • The “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email you can opt out of (immediate effect, in one click, Article 7 GDPR).
  • The My account area → Settings → Notifications, where you can adjust each category separately.
  • An email to info@salsaliege.com.

Unsubscribing does not delete your account, remove your access to the service you have signed up for or affect the messages linked to the contract in Article 16.1 (order confirmation, invoice, security alert, membership information), which form part of the contract and continue to be sent.

16.5 Device notifications (push)

In addition to emails, the app may send notifications to your device: a reminder of a party you have saved, an announcement of a studio event, congratulations on a milestone in your progress. You can adjust each category separately in My account → Settings, or all together with a master switch. Between 22:00 and 08:00, non-urgent notifications are postponed; only security alerts and messages linked to the contract get through. Email settings and notification settings are independent.

Article 17 — Artificial intelligence (Sal Coach)

In plain language — Sal is a French artificial intelligence, never a human, and this is shown on screen. You can turn it off: the service works in full without it.

SALSALiege.com uses artificial intelligence (AI) services to personalize certain features of the site, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (AI Act). Their scope is deliberately narrow: teaching content, challenges, video recommendations and weekend recaps are written by the team or put together without artificial intelligence.

  • Mistral AI (French provider; hosting exclusively in the European Union, with Microsoft Azure in Sweden and Norway) — Sal conversational assistant, coach memory, duel with Sal in the rhythm game, categorization of your goals, checking of team names and help with running the school, reserved for the site manager. Connecting dancers does not use any AI (see Privacy Policy, Article 10.7).

17.1. Transparency (AI Act Art. 50)
When you interact with an AI (in particular the Sal Coach assistant), the screen clearly tells you that you are speaking to an AI and not a human. This information is displayed before your first message (Article 50(5) of the same Regulation) and remains visible in the chat title throughout the conversation.

17.2. Deactivation
You can turn off AI personalization from your personal area SALSALiege.com → Profile → Settings → Privacy → “AI personalization”. The service then remains fully functional (see Article 17.5): AI is an option, never a condition for using the service.

17.3. Data sent to Mistral
What we send to Mistral is limited to what is strictly necessary (Article 5(1)(c) GDPR): no full name or email, and identifiers replaced by a pseudonym. We do not use Mistral to make automated legal decisions within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

17.4. Limitation of AI liability
We do not control the availability of Mistral’s service. If it is unavailable, the AI features revert to the mode without AI (Article 17.5), without detriment to you.

17.5. Mode without AI
If you have not turned on AI personalization (it is off or you have not yet accepted it), Sal answers common questions with prepared responses, without any call to Mistral and without sending any data to this processor, and suggests writing directly to Xavier for anything else. Access to your classes and your progress is not affected in any way. Checking of team names and help with running the school do not depend on this setting (Privacy Policy, Articles 10.9 and 10.10).

17.6. Anonymous visitor — generic assistance and AI information
Anyone visiting SALSALiege.com without creating an account can chat with the Sal assistant in generic assistance mode (questions about classes, discovering what we offer). This processing is based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and/or on steps prior to entering into a contract taken at the visitor’s request (Article 6(1)(b)), in accordance with our documented legitimate interest assessment.

  • An information banner is displayed before the first message to indicate that the visitor is interacting with an AI, and the chat title permanently displays “Sal AI” (AI Act Art. 50(1) and (5) and GDPR Art. 13).
  • We retain neither an IP address in plain text nor an advertising tracker for this use. Anti-bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) prevents abuse, and only a pseudonymized version of the IP address is used for this purpose; it is erased with the conversation, after no more than 90 days. Contact details are removed from messages before they are sent to Mistral.
  • If the visitor prefers not to interact with AI, or for a sensitive matter, they are directed to direct human contact (WhatsApp — see Article 15).
  • Personalization and coach memory are reserved for logged-in members (see Article 17.2 and Privacy Policy Art. 10.2).

17.7. Rhythm game and duel with Sal — no contractual effect
The duel with Sal and the rhythm game scores are educational entertainment: they have no effect on access to classes, assigned level, price or subscription. No automated decision within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR is made on the basis of your game results. Experience points earned by playing, like all experience points, are neither convertible into money nor refundable.

Article 18 — Changes to Studio Live content

In plain language — The video catalog may change over time. If a significant change is to your disadvantage, we tell you beforehand and you can stop without charge.

Studio Live content (videos, levels, learning paths) may change over time. SALSALiege.com may modify, remove or replace videos for editorial, contractual (artists, licensed music) or technical reasons (change of video host, quality improvements). You are informed through the platform or by email of major changes to the catalog.

In accordance with Article 19 of Directive (EU) 2019/770, you are notified in advance of any modification to the digital service that goes beyond what is necessary for its operation or security. If it has a significant negative impact on your use of the service, you may terminate without charge.

Article 19 — Prolonged suspension (group classes)

In plain language — Illness, maternity, moving: you can pause your subscription for up to 6 months, with supporting evidence. Beyond that, we consider requests individually.

In the event of a justified prolonged absence (medical certificate, maternity, long-term relocation for work), you may request suspension of your subscription for up to 6 months, with an equivalent extension of the remaining duration. Beyond 6 months, suspension is no longer guaranteed but may be considered individually via info@salsaliege.com.

Article 20 — Service availability and essential contractual obligations

In plain language — We do everything we can to keep the service running, without promising zero outages. If an interruption lasts more than 48 consecutive hours, whatever the cause, you can request a credit proportionate to the access time lost.

SALSALiege.com undertakes to use reasonable efforts to maintain the quality and availability of the service, but does not guarantee continuous 100 % availability.

In the event of a service interruption lasting more than 48 consecutive hours, whatever the cause, you may request a credit proportionate to the access time lost.

The essential contractual obligations (providing the service subscribed to, securing payments, protecting your data) comply with Article 8 of Directive (EU) 2019/770 and constitute the guarantees of conformity of the digital service.

Article 21 — Reporting illegal content (DSA)

In plain language — If you see illegal content on the site, report it to info@salsaliege.com. We acknowledge receipt within 72 hours and explain our decision to you.

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (Digital Services Act, hereinafter “DSA”), in particular Articles 16 and 24, SALSALiege.com makes available to its customers and any third party a mechanism for reporting allegedly illegal content on the SALSALiege.com website.

21.1. Scope
We mainly offer editorial content we produce ourselves (teaching videos, blog articles) and do not host user-generated content on a large scale. However, this reporting mechanism covers:

  • User comments on videos or blog articles.
  • Reviews and testimonials published by users.
  • Photos or texts shared through social features (crew, events).
  • External links embedded by other users (where applicable).

21.2. Categories of illegal content covered
The following, in particular, are considered illegal within the meaning of the DSA and may be reported:

  • Terrorist content or content glorifying terrorism.
  • Child sexual abuse material or content harming a minor.
  • Hate speech, incitement to violence, racism, antisemitism, homophobia.
  • Harassment, threats, infringements of privacy.
  • Counterfeiting, copyright or trademark infringement.
  • Dissemination of personal data without consent.
  • Manifest disinformation relating to health or public safety.
  • Any other content contrary to Belgian law, European law or the law applicable to the Customer.

21.3. How to report content (Article 16 DSA)
All notices must be sent by email to info@salsaliege.com with the subject line: “DSA notice” and contain:

  • A sufficiently substantiated explanation of the reasons why you consider the content to be illegal.
  • The exact address (URL) or precise references enabling the reported content to be located.
  • Your name and email (except for notices of child sexual abuse material or terrorism-related content, which may be anonymous in accordance with Article 16(2) DSA).
  • A statement confirming that you are submitting this notice in good faith (Article 16(2)(d) DSA).

21.4. Handling the notice
SALSALiege.com undertakes to:

  • Acknowledge receipt of the notice within 72 hours.
  • Examine the reported content within a reasonable time having regard to its nature (greater urgency for terrorist content or child sexual abuse material).
  • Notify you of its reasoned decision (Article 17 DSA), including: the outcome of the examination, the legal basis relied on and the available means of redress.
  • Take appropriate measures if the content is indeed illegal: removal, blocking access, suspension of the author, reporting to the competent authorities where applicable.

21.5. Single point of contact (Article 11 DSA)
The single point of contact for authorities, users and any trusted flagger is:
Xavier Colina Valdor — info@salsaliege.com — +32 484 602 084

21.6. Means of redress and trusted flaggers
If you believe that your notice has not been handled correctly, you have the following means of redress:

  • An internal complaint, by replying to info@salsaliege.com with the wording “DSA appeal”.
  • Referral to the Belgian Digital Services Coordinator (Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications — BIPT, www.ibpt.be), in accordance with Article 50 DSA.
  • Judicial redress before the competent courts.

SALSALiege.com gives increased priority to notices submitted by “trusted flaggers” designated by Belgian or European authorities, in accordance with Article 22 DSA.

Article 22 — Promotional credits (referrals, loyalty, birthdays)

In plain language — Referrals, loyalty and birthdays give you credits to spend in the shop, or to be deducted from your next payment if your subscription renews automatically. They are valid for 12 months after the last credit earned and cannot be turned into money.

SALSALiege.com may offer you promotional credits, in particular through referrals by email invitation (5 € shop credit), the loyalty program (attendance at Studio24) or on your birthday. The personal referral link (“ambassador link”), however, rewards you in experience points (XP) only — never in money or shop credit. These credits are accumulated on a discount voucher in your name.

Promotional credits are valid for 12 months from the last credit earned: each new credit earned extends the validity of the entire balance. After this period, the balance expires automatically.

These credits are a free commercial benefit: they are personal, non-refundable, non-convertible into cash and have no monetary value outside the SALSALiege.com shop. They are distinct from purchased gift vouchers, which are governed by Article 8.

The voucher is used in a single transaction in the online shop, for group classes, private lessons or a Studio Live subscription. If you have a Studio Live subscription with automatic renewal, your voucher is automatically deducted from your next payment, up to its amount; any unused amount is returned to your voucher. As in the shop, it does not apply to a subscription on promotion. It never applies to a service on promotion, whether a crossed-out price or a limited-time offer under Article 2.5 (seasonal packs, Black Friday): an order containing a service on promotion cannot use a voucher.
