🤔 What’s the DIFFERENCE between SALSA, BACHATA, and REGGAETON?
Three styles, three energies:
• Salsa is dynamic, joyful, and fast. It originated in Cuba and New York in the ’60s–’70s (Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony).
• Bachata is sensual, romantic, and slower. It comes from the Dominican Republic (Romeo Santos, Aventura).
• Reggaeton is urban and festive, with its recognizable “Dem Bow” rhythm. It originated in Puerto Rico (Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny).
At Studio24, we teach you to tell these rhythms apart and dance to each one from your very first class!
💃 What are the best SALSA SONGS to start DANCING to?
To get started, choose tracks with a clear tempo (160-180 BPM) and a clearly marked “1.” Here are the essentials from our playlist I Love Salsa. Avoid Cuban Timba at first (too fast and unpredictable). Our playlist orders tracks from the most accessible to the most technical.
🔥 What’s the best BACHATA SENSUAL PLAYLIST on Spotify?
Our playlist “Una Bachata Mas” has become a go-to for fans of Bachata Sensual. It includes classics by Romeo Santos, Prince Royce and Aventura, along with modern remixes by Dani J, DJ Tronky, and DJ Khalid. It’s the ideal playlist for practicing your body waves, isolations, and partner movements. Xavier updates it every month with new releases from 2026! 🎶 Want to learn Bachata Sensual? Discover our classes in Liège or our +300 online lessons.
🎉 What LATIN MUSIC should you choose for a PARTY with friends or an event?
Our playlist “Reggaeton Party” is perfect for setting the mood at a birthday, a wedding, a bachelorette party, or a party with friends. It mixes Reggaeton, Latin Pop, and Dancehall hits that get everyone moving, even people who don’t dance! For a more elegant private event (cocktail party, wedding), combine “Una Bachata Mas” (a romantic atmosphere) with “I Love Salsa” (a festive atmosphere). 🎶 Planning a wedding or a bachelorette party? Our private lessons (from 50€/h) include choreography to the music of your choice. Book a private lesson →
🎵 I can’t find the RHYTHM: how do I COUNT the music?
It’s THE most common problem for beginners — and it’s 100% normal! Here are the basics:
• In Salsa, we dance over 8 counts (1-2-3, pause, 5-6-7, pause). The “1” falls on the strongest sound.
• In Bachata, it’s simpler: 4 counts (1-2-3-tap). Listen to the bass marking each count.
Xavier created a “Musicality & Rhythm” video module in Studio Live (19,90€/month, first week free). You’ll learn to count music like a pro, with exercises using tracks from our playlists. Try Studio Live →
🕺 Can I LEARN TO DANCE to this music?

Group classes Monday through Thursday, all levels, even complete beginners. Unlimited plan from 60€/month. Do you live far away (France, Canada, Switzerland…)?
